Your Mental Health Therapist | Ontario

Life can feel overwhelming at times. Stress, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship struggles can make it hard to feel at peace. If you’re a high achiever, a student, a professional, an athlete, or someone entering retirement, you may feel the pressure to always be in control. However, sometimes, even the most capable people need support.

That’s where therapy comes in. It’s a place to slow down, reflect, and find clarity.

Hi, I’m Sam.

I’m a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, and Energy Healer based in Ontario.

Thanks for being here.

A Therapy Space Designed for You

Therapy will not “fix” you.  Therapy will empower you to understand yourself better, uncover patterns that may be holding you back, and explore new ways to move forward.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and free of judgment. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make the changes that feel right for you.

I work with adults struggling with communication, boundaries, and self-expression. Maybe you avoid conflict, feel misunderstood in relationships, or struggle to say what you truly need. These patterns don’t just appear out of nowhere. In fact, they’re often shaped by past experiences, and together, we’ll explore their roots.

Therapy is like stepping into a quiet, sunlit room where you can finally exhale. It’s a space where you don’t have to perform or pretend. Instead, you can show up exactly as you are… tired, hopeful, frustrated, or uncertain. Here, your story matters, and together, we can start to untangle the thoughts and feelings that have been weighing you down.

A Personalized Approach to Therapy

Therapy is about connection, growth, and the possibility of transformation. That’s why I use a blend of evidence-based therapies, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – To explore and shift unhelpful thought patterns.

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) – To strengthen emotional regulation and coping skills.

  • Narrative Therapy – To explore and reshape the stories you tell yourself.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) – To deepen emotional connections and repair relationships.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) – To help you understand different parts of yourself and find inner balance.

  • Life Process Transformation Therapy (LPT) (Training in progress) - To reconnect with your true self, heal from past experiences, and navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence.

My approach is intentional and grounded in collaboration, focusing on what feels most meaningful for you in the present moment.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all framework, our work is shaped by the complexity of your experiences, delving into the underlying dynamics that might be creating disconnection or frustration. Whether it’s setting boundaries, letting go of old patterns, or fostering greater self-awareness, therapy offers the chance to step into your relationships with others and with yourself with clarity and confidence.

Honouring the Mind-Body Connection

Growth and healing go beyond just the mind. Our emotions are often stored in the body, showing up as tension, restlessness, or exhaustion. While I don’t integrate yoga or Reiki unless requested, my background as a certified yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner informs my approach. I bring mindfulness and somatic awareness into our work, helping you tune into your body’s signals and find greater balance. If spirituality is important to you, we can also explore how it fits into your healing journey.

Picture sitting in stillness, placing a hand over your heart, and simply noticing the rise and fall of your breath. Often, the next step towards healing is awareness, about listening to the quiet messages your body has been sending you all along. Through mindfulness and gentle self-inquiry, we can create a space where you’ll feel more connected to yourself and the world around you.

(Please note: Reiki services are billed separately from therapy.)

Online Therapy in Ontario

Accessibility matters. That’s why I offer online therapy for individuals across Ontario, allowing you to receive support from the comfort of your home. Whether you’re in Toronto, Ottawa, or a small town, you can access high-quality care without the stress of commuting.

For therapy, you can settle into your favourite chair with a cup of tea, log into a session, and feel the weight of your thoughts begin to lift as you talk things through. Online therapy makes it possible to get the support you need, wherever you are, without the added stress of travel or scheduling conflicts.
